Our Story
The idea behind the O.O.K block collective was born from a deep passion for art and the evolving technologies surrounding blockchains and open-source ledgers. Founding member Mike Surf recognized the growing challenges within the art world: fraud, misattribution, and a lack of transparency in ownership.
As digital art and NFTs surged, traditional artists struggled to find a way to protect their work while retaining full control over their creations.
O.O.K Block Collective was established as a think tank and innovation hub driven by a belief in decentralization, fair market value, and artist empowerment. By embedding blockchain addresses directly into the artwork and having the art backed by Bitcoin blocks, we ensure each piece has a permanent record of authenticity,m preventing forgery and enabling direct, trustworthy transactions between artists and collectors.
